Frequently asked questions
How much jamu should i take?
Saucha Jamu is very potent- I suggest starting off with 2oz a day, and adjusting dosage from there.
Everyone has different needs. There is no harm in taking a higher dose (3-5oz)- your body will excrete what it does not need.
That being said, your body has to work extra hard to excrete what isn’t needed, which over time, can cause stress on your organs. In light of making things as easy on your body as possible, start slow and adjust as needed. I encourage practicing tuning in and and listening to how your body responds to Jamu (and anything else you ingest).
When should i take my jamu?
Up to you!
I find that drinking Jamu in the morning is a great way to kick start the day. If you wake up stiff, dry, or lethargic, incorporating Jamu in your morning routine can help awaken your body and get you ready to rock ‘n roll.
It is also beneficial to drink Jamu before or after a meal to enhance digestion and subdue any negative symptoms that may accompany eating. If you have a low digestive fire, this can act as a very therapeutic digestive aid. If you are prone to overeating, bloat, or any gut discomfort post meal, taking a shot of Jamu before/after eating will do you well ;)
Taking your Jamu in the evening before bed can help promote liver and kidney detoxification. If you are prone to constipation, taking Jamu at this time can also help soothe your gut and get things moving come morning time.
how long will my jamu last?
Jamu will last up to 3 weeks, refrigerated.
What size is saucha jamu available in?
8oz bottles, 16oz bottles, and 32oz bottles.
Will Jamu help my hangover?
YES. The turmeric in Jamu has been shown to be effective and both preventing and delaying the onset and symptoms of a hangover. This occurs due to certain metabolic interactions that take place while both turmeric and alcohol are in the system. If the hangover still hits, ginger can also help subdue any nausea or gut discomfort.
How should i take my jamu?
However your heart desires. You can take it as a shot, dilute it with water or juice, add it to a smoothie, make it into a tea, add some honey for some sweetness…get crafty with it!
What separates Saucha Jamu from other turmeric-based "supplements"?
Jamu is made from organic ROOTS, baby!
many beneficial components of turmeric get stripped away when manipulating the root into more conveniently used forms, such as: powder, supplements, tinctures, etc. By using the root of both turmeric and ginger, we preserve essential components that help amplify therapeutic benefits.
Saucha Jamu is heated during the production process, which further enhances the bioavailability of curcumin
Turmeric root is hydrophobic & lipophilic, meaning it loves to attach itself to fats, but stays far away from water. Heating turmeric increases its water solubility, meaning you have a greater chance of absorbing it when taking turmeric in the absence of fat. (Because I use full turmeric root, there is still natural turmeric oil in Saucha Jamu, enabling the active compounds to enter into our system at an even greater rate)
Saucha Jamu is potent and doesn't need any "fillers"
Saucha Jamu is potent and pure, with just five ingredients. No fillers, no additives, no ingredients to amplify taste. Saucha Jamu is the real deal.
